Meet Fran

Fran's Biography

Fran Rudolph, founder of Today Coaching, is also an educator, author, public speaker, and workshop facilitator in the areas of parent coaching, couples coaching and life coaching. She has a Master’s degree in Education, is a member of the International Coach Federation, and holds advanced certification in coaching parents, kids and families from The Academy for Family Coach Training, one of the most well-known coaching programs in the country, a program affiliated with Lewis and Clark College and certified by the International Coach Federation.

Fran is a true life-long learner. As a child she remembers a steady stream of foreign exchange students poring through her house, richly adding to her family’s lives with their new perspectives and ways of doing things. This glimpse of an exciting world abroad, along with her father’s insistence that every evening meal be followed by a philosophical question-of-the-day or a debate about world events, made her hungry for knowledge and new experiences.

After college Fran soon found her way into teaching. For most of her adult professional life she taught at the university level and was the director of several international programs, work that allowed her to travel all over the world. Whether serving her university abroad as ambassador, speaker, teacher-trainer or fellow academician, her life was enriched by all the people and places in these far-away lands.

Upon moving to Wilmington, North Carolina, and as her immediate family grew, Fran’s learning focus shifted to the area of human development and communication. While parenting her two small children, she taught full-time at the local university, courses such as Interpersonal Communication and Public Speaking.

Then, as her children started moving into the teenage years, Fran became curious about what was going on in their schools, so she taught in the local school system for several years. What an eye opener! And, what great experience to draw from in her coaching work with parents, teens and children!

Now as a family and life coach and founder of Today Coaching, Fran can’t imagine more rewarding work. Every day as she writes articles, plans speeches or helps families and individuals achieve their goals, she is continuing her quest to learn, this time about the transformative power of the coaching relationship – nothing could be more exciting!
